Beaches: It is an hour and a half drive to the lovely Normandy beaches, but just half an hour away are lakes for swimming and water sports.

Further Information

The house is an 18th Century terraced cottage with thick stone walls and a slate roof. The ground floor is completely open plan - ideally suited for sociable evenings of cooking, eating, conversation and family fun. It comprises an open kitchen with solid oak worktops, living area with sofa, armchair and coffee table, and a large dining table and chairs. Upstairs there are three bedrooms: the first has a large double bed, the second has a small double bed and a cot and the third has full size bunkbeds. The armchair downstairs converts into a single futon-bed and can fit in the double bedroom if needed. Montreuil Poulay is an ideal base from which to explore the neighbouring regions of Brittany and Normandy as well as the local Mayenne department. This lovely part of France is renowned for its cheeses and fruit. It is great walking country with a number of historic and family focussed attractions.
